The Idea
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society appointed Naseer Shamma Goodwill Ambassador during the opening ceremony of the 10th MENA Conference of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, held in Baghdad on 18–19 April 2018.
The appointment recognised Shamma's sustained humanitarian work for victims of war, the sick and those in need, alongside his role in advancing Arabic music and safeguarding its heritage.
