The Idea
The Non-Violence Project (NVP), based in Switzerland, appointed Naseer Shamma Goodwill Ambassador at a ceremony held in Stockholm in November 2016, in recognition of his sustained humanitarian work for global peace.
The Non-Violence Project is a non-profit youth education initiative launched in 1993, working with over six million young people, teachers and coaches across five continents to teach non-violent conflict resolution.
In January 2017, Shamma was welcomed into the International Friends Board of AUNOHR (Academic University for Non-Violence and Human Rights) in Beirut, reinforcing his commitment to a culture of non-violence across the Arab region.
